Dino’s Git Down Goodguys Pre-Party Full of Chevy Only Trucks

A few years back, Dino Battilana, also known as Mr. C-10 or Mr. 60-66 opened the doors to his appliance service shop to a few close friends the Friday night before the Goodguys Scottsdale show as a way for those coming in from out of town to catch up and hang out and talk truck before getting up and cruising to the show. Now, for many, the Pre-Show Git Down as it is officially known, or simply ‘Dino’s’, has become the go to destination for that weekend with Goodguys taking a backseat to the Friday night hangout. Each year, more and more come from all over the country turning a small get together into a fully fledged event that shuts the entire block down.

There were sightings of the usual cast of characters including Dino, Broey, Delmo, Sam Castranova, Joe Yezzi and more. The guys at Porterbuilt Fabrication used the get together as a chance to debut their new rear kit tailored to fit 24×15-inch wheels. Also on the scene was the C-10 Crew and Classic Scene around the corner from the endless line at the grill where Dino’s family took care of the hungry patrons with burgers and dogs. On special display inside of the shop was Dino’s dually chassis as seen in our One ’N Done AccuAir video. Sitting next to the frame was Eric Steinbrecher’s Tootsie C-10 that was a finalist in Goodguys Truck of the Year. Also guests of the evening were the latest creations from Scott’s Hot Rods.

Everyone filtered out for the evening and many came right back in the morning to join in the cruise to Goodguys from Dino’s shop. Traffic nearly came to a stop as the sea of 30 plus classic trucks and cars cruised the Arizona highways in route to the final Goodguys show of the year.
