Outlaw Porsche builder and custom hot rod legacy Rod Emory of Emory Motorsports joins the Car Guys at the Petersen Auto Museum.
Rod’s lineage dates back to the late 1940s when his Grandfather worked on some of the most iconic hot rods and dry lake racers. Their legacy continued in the VW/Porsche world where his father created the first Baja Bug after picking up a wrecked bug.
Rod shares the story of building a customized Porsche 356 25 years ago and taking it on a 5,000-mile road trip with a camper and new family in tow.
His shop, Emory Motorsports crafts beautiful ‘outlaw’ style Porsche cars, going against the purist grain and bringing hot rod touches to the classic Porsche world.
