The Toyota 4Runner has been nicknamed the mini van of the off-road world; but that works for us as we do not plan to build the Ultimate Overland Rig; but to build our Overland Runner meant for daily driving, weekend trips and tackling off-road terrain!
First on the list is upgrading the suspension of our 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner to an Icon Vehicle Dynamics Stage 3 suspension kit complete with Black Rhino 18×8.5-inch Dugger wheels and 285/65R18 Yokohama Geolandar X-AT tires. LGE CTS Motorsports handles the install and then joins us as we hit the trails just north of Big Bear Lake.
